Central IL | I sold two hereford steers to a couple 4H'ers this past January. One weighed 850 lbs and the other weighed 1100 this past February. Today they weighed them for the last time and the one that weighed 850 was 1470 and the one that weighed 1100 was 1750. Last year I sold two and they respectively won 1st and 2nd place in rate of gain, gaining 4.8 lbs per day and 4.6 lbs per day! Calves my dad and I sell may not win grand champion but they sure pack on the lbs! | |
