Subject: Mowing pasture for summer re-growth

NW Iowa
I have a pasture that is in good shape (not weedy, good grass growth, and plenty of moisture so far this year - mainly brome grass). I will not run cows on it until late August. What kind of results would I see if I mowed and baled this pasture and let it re-grow for grazing in late august. Would it provide me with comparable feed value and tonnage that I would see with not mowing/baling it? Looking for any tips on timing of mowing and managing the regrowth.

TIA
