SWOH | Anybody else here ever have to tell an off duty cop to quit riding an ATV in their field? We've known the guy for a long time and get along pretty well with him...I couldn't hardly believe it when I caught them out there and found out who it was...the sad part is that he's been to this same field more than once before on duty to give warnings to ATV riders and he knows why our policy is no ATV's. He's a pretty nice guy and apologized, he didn't think it would hurt anything since it wasn't planted. I explained to him it wasn't any too dry and he was doing more damage then he realized and he of all people should understand trespassing. Then I guess his wife decided to trash me on Facebook for asking them to stop. I can't figure people out sometimes. I thought I was pretty nice about it and one of the neighbors called the cops so they were there too but I didn't charge them with anything. Guess maybe I should have. | |
