South Bend, IN | HP pavilion g7 laptop. 2 ports on the left side quit working but the one on the right still works. Says unknown driver but I can't get it to fix itself by clicking fix problem. After much googling and thinking back I've traced the problem to a windows update has caused this. Update I found on Google isn't showing in my registry. On Google advice I deletd upper and lower filters in registry. All ports worked but then you have to restart and the computer goes into a never ending repair mode. To get out of that I have to restore to an earlier time and then I'm back to square one. Wondered if anyone else had this problem.
