Subject: Combine in Sink Hole--How Did You Do It?

SE MN Still in Pothole Country
Yesterday AM a post about combine with one driver in a Kentucky sink hole. As I remember it did not have duals. If it had duals I would have ran a strap or chain between them and gotten a heavy truck retriever to pull up and back. That got me to thinking. I do not know what model of Deere it is but a person could take out 5 of the ten wheel bolts and bolt on flush to the remaining 5 bolts a bare wheel if you could find one with the right offset and bolt pattern. Maybe a Budd 22.5 would fit inside what looks to be a 32 inch wheel. That might give you enough room to get a strap or chain snaked around the dummy wheel.

Or just dig a little dirt out to make a ramp and back it on out with a little help from a pull tractor. One thing about the sink hole it does not have the suction effect of good old upper midwest mud.
