Wisconsin | On a 4760 baler with a cutter, the top auger has flighting all the way across, with a stripper plate to remove hay so it doesn't wrap around it. On the newer generation balers, they appear to stop the flighting at the edge of the throat, and then there are paddles in the center of the auger. I would like to modify my auger to this design, as I seem to have issues with the stripper plate and hay wrapping. Is there any reason to think that this wouldn't work? | |
