Subject: Disconnecting or Removing master cylinder from 7000 planter?

North Central Indiana
Deere tech was out today replacing injectors in my 8300. Part of the conversation he was telling me they were disconnecting the master cylinder on a local seed companies 7000 male row planters.
They were getting tired of replacing master and had developed a way to bypass it.
He said they had created a stop on the lift wheels so they wouldn't go past center and were plumbing the lift cylinders direct. I had noticed one of the planters at the Deere dealer as I stopped for parts this morning, but it was gone this evening on my way home.

Had hoped to see what they were doing.

Has anyone else ever heard of this being done?
