SE SD | Been looking into having my septic pumped. I have lived at this place for 6 years and have never had it done, and to my knowledge from the previous owners they dont think its ever been pumped. Have been smelling a little bit of a sewage smell outside lately. House was built in 63, its an open eneded system, as there is a pipe that runs water out. Read previous posts when searched, some say good, some say bad. Just dont want to run into a problem down the road. I have no idea how big the tank is. Septic pumping is $175. For a few years it was just myself living there but as of now i have 3 people in the household and seems like the smell has gotten a big stronger. Dont notice any difference in the house with the toilets flushing or anything.
