So you have efluent running out of a pipe into some area/ditch? Yes, more people in the house equals more waste to process equals more gas produced. If you were smelling this in the house, I would check the breather pipe. 6 yrs is a long time between cleaning, even for a single, but I know people do it and will argue they don't need cleaned. $175 would be a good price here as we get $160 and the next cheapest that we've been told is $225. Depending on who made your tank and what design they used, you may have access doors on each end of your tank to see you inlet and outlet, or you may have 1 hole in the middle and need a mirror/flashlight set-up, or you may have a vault where the whole lid needs pulled off. We've had a couple that had no lid and we ended up cutting a hole in the top and installing a clean out.
