IA | I started doing custom storage (corn) for a relative in 2007, when we put up a 40,000 bu. bin. He added land in 2010, and we put up another 55,000 bu. bin., so we now have about 95,000 bushels of storage. He adding more land for this coming year and has asked if we'd consider putting up another bin. We'd probably build another 65,000, which would put us at around 150,000 bushels overall. He pays us .25/bushel, which pays the bins off pretty quickly. What concerns me about making such a long term investment is that a large portion of his land is rented. What do you think? Thanks. | |
