For May and June in the cornbelt, 2018 was the second warmest on record, only to 1934. Average temp was 5.5 degrees above the long term mean. For comparison, 2012 was 4 degrees above the mean, 2017 was .5 above the mean, 2009 was .1 above the mean.
Also interesting was last Auguest temps were 3 degrees BELOW the mean, 2010 August temps were 3.2 degrees above the mean. | |
