Subject: Corn hybrid for low fertility soil?

Blue Grass (Eastern IA)

I just rented a nearby farm for this year.  The previous tenant had it in a corn, SB, alfalfa rotation.  He had applied very little if any P and K over the last 20 years, and it showed.  There is compaction that probably won't get fixed until fall.  My plan is to get some soil tests in the spring, lime it, and strip till a heavy shot of fert.  It has descent soil types Fayette and Rozetta 50 - 85 CSR.  What would be a good corn hybrid for this tough situation in east central IA?  I want to stick with either AgriGold or Wyffels, 105-112 days, vt2pro.  My yield goal on this would only be 200, so I am not sure an elite hybrid like AG 6499 would be best.

Thanks
