Subject: Wild Turkey control in corn field

Really concerned about controlling turkey damage in my corn field in the spring. Our flock has increased a great deal with the mild winter. I can see them following me as I plant the corn in the spring eating the corn as I plant it. 25 years ago the local vet told me with all our oak trees we should bring it some turkeys. I told him no because I could see them becoming a problem. One of my neighbors must have took him up on it. So now we have at least a hundred that I have counted. My hunters will be out in the spring but they will not make a dent in the flock. Any ideas appreciated? Do you think an insecticide like aztec or counter applied in the row will help keep them away?
