Subject: iPhone apps revisited

Redwood Falls, MN
I received my iPhone last Friday. Been playing with apps going off recommendations from Eric. Thanks for the detailed reviews.

Here's what I'm playing with currently:

Clinometer - very impressive level
Commander Compass Lite - haven't tried it outdoors yet
Dropbox - works well
Find my iPhone- a must have
GISRoam (I've loaded in shape files so far and verified it works - $19.99 app) - a little learning curve but should be able to create and edit shape files.
Google Earth
Google Mobile - nice way to access a lot of things
iBooks - only have Winnie the Pooh so far
Netflix
Pandora
QuickVoice Recorder - simple and free
Radar US - easy to zoom in and out anywhere in US
Twitter
a2z Pro Unit Converter - free - I'll see if I need to pay for a more advanced on in the future
AccuWeather
AgWired
CME Group Mobile
CNN
Facebook
Farm Futures - Quick markets and news
Flashlight - uses the camera light
Growing Degree Days
MotionX GPS Drive - used it to get home from town so far. It got me there!
Skobbler US - haven't used it yet - another GPS driving directions program
SoilWeb - not as impressive - gives you the soil type you're standing on
TankMix - haven't tried yet
TextFree with Voice - I don't really text and feel it's a huge money maker for the phone companies - this is my answer to that - works well - gives you another phone number as local as it can get. Not sure how they do that part for free
The Weather Channel
