Subject: Changing from Vista 64bit to XP 32 bit

Near Richmond, IN
I recently bought a new Dell computer with Vista 64 bit installed. Ever since getting it I've had various problems with programs or hardware working correctly with it.  I blame it all on Vista 64 bit and I'm seriously thinking of buying Windows XP and reformatting and putting XP on instead.  Any thoughts on this?  Would it be a mistake?  Everything I have seems to run good with XP and I know if I start calling support for the various problems I'll have to spend hours on the phone and I don't want to do that.  Everywhere I've read on forums, for the problems I've had, said they've spent hours on the phone with support and the blame keeps getting passed around from software to hardware, etc.  So I think I'll just go to XP unless someone gives me a good reason not to.  What do you think?
