West Tennessee | Never could make that thing work right for me. Couldn't get it up to a high enough temperature and when I did it wouldn't stay there. Always overcooking stuff because it had to stay in there so long and the temperature was so hard to keep steady. I know people love them and do well (according to facebook). I just couldn't make the thing work right. Yes I used the lump charcoal only.
That said I want to do something else. I've read about the pellet grills on here but the moving parts (electric motor & auger) make me wonder about reliability. But really know nothing about them. Really don't want to go to a gas grill but it's starting to look like that might be the best thing for me. Suggestions are welcome. Don't use a grill that much but would like something that I can control the heat better. I still have what's left of my trusty Weber kettle grill and some leftover charcoal for now. :-) | |
