Subject: how about leaving corn stubble more intact for no-till beans?

southern iowa
My cih cornhead with knife rolls just about destroys corn stalks. The ground is still almost covered in the spring. Not much sun directly hits the ground. In a wet year even the hel ground just about wont dry out. I am thinking a jd 893 head with fluted rolls would leave the stalks more intact and allow lots more sun to hit the ground. Comments are welcome. Thanks.
