west michigan | Thanks for the replies all. I am cutting the hay at 21 mm, which is the longest setting on our claas chopper (about 3/4 inch I think). We tightened the chain as much as we dared, and have been running it as fast as it will go (self-contained hydraulic drive). It still rolls back, but it is a little better. We tried slowing it down too, but that didn’t help. I think we are going to try raising the bottom of the conveyor more to make it run flatter, just gotta figure out how we’re going to do that. | |
