You can do it with any rate control system. I just run my pump at full 12v and use a raven flow meter and control valve. When section valves shut off pump just deadheads so make sure you get a pump that can deadhead. Done it this way several years and hasn’t been a problem.. I have a hydraulic pump on a drill.. I’d probably prefer hydraulic over electric but both get the job done..
