n.c.iowa

‘92 here was a early season, warm early on, cool and cloudy with occasional warmups the middle of June or so onward, temps the 70’s-80’s, little precipitation.

corn was all planted by the 20th of April or so, beans coulda been planted in April that year. By the second week of June the corn was starting to wilt then we had a week of light rains that turned things around.

What really sticks out for myself is that the corn came up absolutely perfect, no slough holes or sour spots, but we did have a frost on the 18th of June that year that froze some corn.
tasseling occurred in the last week of July/first week of august. Harvest was late that year, high moisture corn that took a lot of drying. It was the first year that we had a couple fields yield right at, or over 200bu./acre.
