When people are giving their two cents they are putting an image of their entire area, but it all varies quite drastically. I'm in northeast nd and seeded everything to moisture this year. Many people in my area are saying it's the driest they remember since the late 80's. That is well before my time, but I personally have never seeded into a better seed bed. Meanwhile a friend who is the same age 10 miles west says he has stuff laying in dry dirt. We most certainly will need good rains to have a bumper crop, but to this point ane time my potential yield has yet to suffer from dryness.

Doesn’t mean much without a general location. Like you said location is everything.
Is this Iowa, Minnesota SD, ND and at least a region or a county would mean more.
