Subject: RE: Weed control in pumpkins

I do a small pumpkin patch, well couple of them. They measure 50 x 250. I spot spray around them with Roundup and pull up any of the weeds that are big. His keep them fairly clean. Last fall I sow the patches in wheat as a cover and going cut the wheat with my disc mower and square bale that little bit. Plan is to just work a strip with a walk behind tiller to plant the pumpkins. Skip so many feet and work another row with the tiller and repeat. Spray the middle if any weeds up. Let the pumpkins run on the wheat stubble. I see how that works.
