I think sports in school serve an important purpose, but I think organizations like FFA and 4-H do more to develop those life skills than sports do.
I think a successful FFA Chapter is just as exciting to me and many community members as a winning basketball team, and will contribute to the success of the community long term to a much greater degree than that winning basketball team would.
