You 5 & 6 do not conflict. Some people are leaders and some people need to be encouraged to lead and then excell. Some do better with guidance and not the burden of leadership.
Sports helps some develop these skills just like many other endeavors.
I agree kids sports are overwhelming and have been for 25 years or more to some degree.
Always been curious about HS sports
