Same scenario in NWOH. Lots of it here on the heavy clays. Sand not so much.
Planted same couple of days and just too cold for too long.
That cold rain really had the chilled inhibition effect on corn. Beans seemed to have handled it much better.
I've wore out my pocket knife already this spring.
Oh well, looks like we have a great planting week finally ahead of us and then re assess those early fields.
