There are beautiful views from the North side of the canyon but access is in a very remote area so the vast majority visit the South. If you want to visit Zion National Park in Southern Utah then the North should be considered. During the summer season you will need to take a shuttle to many of the popular viewpoints on the South side because of traffic issues but they are well run and convenient, if you can find a parking space in the lots. You will visit one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World so you cannot go wrong either way.
