Feels like ‘76. Cool dry start, hot dry ending.
‘12 wasn’t much better, but we didn’t start the growing season in a D2 drought. ‘12 got so hot so fast, couldn’t hold cows in fences in July, green chopped and fed the rest of the year. 100% of the corn was put in a silage pile, I’m hoping we can make silage.

Ranchers from MT are calling to see if they can bring pairs here, and locals here are seeing if they can take pairs out west. The search for grass will get serious.
