Emergence here is generally not great this year. Our emergence tests are taking much longer then years past, however we are not accumulating GDUs very fast, over the last 2 days we accumulated 10 GDUs . Things we have noticed are: the ground is very hard this year. So we are seeing some uneven seed depth especially with high speed. In general the 2020 standard down force setting isn't/wasn't enough ( we put gopros on our planter unit to watch the arm coming away from the stop, 2020 didn't pick it up) seeing some dry dirt in the furrow that caused delayed emergence in some areas and seeing some cold injury which is kinda crazy considering it was 80 degrees for a week when we planted here
Rules that one out. |
