South Central MN | Sometimes having cattle in the operation can help make better use of those rough acres if they aren't covered with CRP. Hay fields don't have to be flat, rich black dirt. True it helps but one field that has a gravel pocket in it you at least get the first cutting off before it decides it won't do much else. Throwing away high priced seed for it to yield 0 in that spot isn't good. | |
