Sanilac Co. Michigan | I had terrible goose damage last year. Lost, as in completely eaten off below the growing point ten acres of beans out of fifteen. Called the MDNR about a permit to kill some off, like you might deer.
Was told I might get a permit to shoot OVER the geese and they had detailed instructions on how to build a fence to keep them out of my crop. Yes, they said that with a straight face!!
Replanted and arrived at a less "official" solution to discourage them.
Probably has something to do with being federally protected. | |
