In my opinion, that's what infurrow is for, insurance that you have plant available nutrients early no matter the soil temp. Just because you don't end up with more yield doesn't necessarily mean 'it didn't work" as that is only one step of many, you .after be missing parts later in the equation. I will credit all nutrients as banded and reduced from the total nutrient package.
