Southeast Colorado | This is super dry country most years including this one. Dryland crop is pretty much toast. We've got some irrigated that is pretty good and is just now heading. I haven't used fungicide on wheat much because moisture is always our limiting factor. However.........with the prices looking strong this year...........I'm wondering if it might easily more than cover it's cost. I'm not planning to shut the water off through May.............so running a ground rig isn't really an option. Plus we'd be driving over quite a bit of good crop doing that. With our dry, no humidity weather, I'm not seeing any disease concerns.........but they may eventually show up just due to the irrigation water. Anyway...........reckon smart money would pay to do this? | |
