It's been a while since I was raising cotton and I don't remember the actual rates of chemicals used. I do know on our soils we would use the lower recommended rates. Cotoran was normally applied behind the planter in a band over the row. This reduced the cost per ac and the rate was adjusted for a band rate vs a broadcast rate. I know we might have some language understanding problems and different measurement systems but for example if the rate was 2 pints per ac of 4 L and we sprayed a 19 inch band the rate would be reduced by one half making it one pint per ac sprayed on a 19" band. I hope I don't confuse.
