Push Forward..... you need to set the flow to constant. Then to shut it off you push forward and inward on the switch so it free wheels to a stop instead of dead ending the oil flow..
My fan has a overrunning valve in it just in case..


Moving to float position to shut down fan is the approved way like you said. Don't most fans have the overrunning check valve? I know our JD787/Flexicoil 2320 does.
