Just my limited experience, on used equipment you will have a payment AND repair bills.

There is not anything out there that is bulletproof.

If you can get out of your current stuff and upgrade without stretching yourself I would but do not expect cheaper repair bills per year.

For example, combine covers 14-1600 acres and are at $10k/year in parts and labor just in PM. That is before payment and other costs.

Put a new motor in it for $20k last year on top of the yearly PM.
