NorthWest Indiana | To make it easier to lead that little one, use a horse halter and slide the nose hole of the halter over his head and down his neck. The strap that goes over the horse's head will buckle under this little guy's belly. That leaves the strap that is vertical on the horse's head horizontal parallel with this little guys back. Grab that strap and you can lift and maneuver him much like a heavy suitcase. We used to take calves and foals to nursing homes and this gave us almost absolute control along with a halter and lead. Congratulations on a great colt! | |
