scil
I bought an JD old field cultivator and removed 1/3 of the shanks. I respaced them to 9" centers with none closer than 27" on the same rank. I put on 2" points and run it about 5" deep .Being spaced that far apart, it doesn't drag up bean stubble. The main purpose was to disturb the soil surface enough to slow winter annuals. It leaves a lot of residue on the surface. It is 28.5 feet and I pull it with an 8300; Pulls easy.
