Here's a low cost experiment to try: Take worn Field Cultivator sweeps and torch the wings off. If you wanted to do only every other shank then torch the point off the others so that unused shanks have some wear protection. If you decide this works for you (It didn't for me.) Then buy real spear points for expanded use.
