6 miles South of Alden, Minnesota | Nothing here, but it would be very,very nice to get something!! My FIL has an irrigator on his home place and a neighbor to the South about a mile has one too. The neighbor to the South said "I've never ran my irrigator in May before, but I'm not ruling it out this year!" FIL has a gravel pit pond and another nearby, and they've never been this low this time of the year!! A neighbor between my FIL and me has a pond that was planted to corn in either '76 or '77 and they have a picture of it being harvested that fall, never drowned out!! My FIL was farming this farm in 2012, and he disced all but a 50'×50' area in that thing that spring thinking he was going to try and plant it, but it rained the night before he was going to try. I farm this farm now, and if it gets dry enough, I'm going to try and plant it too! |
