It is a common incorrect thought by most northerners that all Texans wear cowboy hats.I’ve made many trips to Wisconsin and the old fellow I visit always introduces me to people as a “purebred” Texan,they all ask where my cowboy hat is,when I tell them I don’t own one they can’t believe it.
Lots of folks wear them though,but I must say the folks I know that own the most cows don’t own a cowboy hat.
