| Thanks guys.
This engine has a cartridge style engine oil filter. I don’t have a spare oil filter on hand right now but I guess since I can seal it up with the plastic housing my plan that I’m going to start in a few minutes is:
1. Run back to the field with a 1 gallon zip-lock bag and a clean 5-gallon bucket and an air compressor
2. Blow the filter area off thoroughly
3. remove the filter housing, pull the cartridge out and place it in my zip-lock bag
4. pour the remaining oil from the filter housing into the zip lock bag as well
5. Re-install the housing
6. Check codes
7. Take the keys as a reminder that I have no oil filter in the housing (as if I’m going to forget with that warning that came up, haha)
8. Examine the engine for places that I can install a manual gauge. Try to figure out what I might need to purchase to rig up a manual gauge
9. Take the filter in and talk to the dealer and see what they think of the filter and what else they think in general (hopefully it won’t be full of metal or something so hopefully it won’t be obvious to me by that point)
10. Get a manual pressure gauge and a new filter and try again with that
