Im in VA and there are full bags of cotton seed sitting on pallets and little baby cotton plants in the 4-5 inch tall range. that had been planted last week.

Typical day in this area...rainy and 60 degrees. Earlier this week was 85-90 degrees and windy. lol

I wish we had 4-5” tall cotton. None of ours area looks great and oldest is going 6-7 weeks old. Still some needs to be re-planted, too wet and rain forecast for most of next week.

That’s the fun thing about farming...it’s just never “perfect” lol

I don’t know what the guy down the road from me uses for fertility but he planted cotton last week and there where plants breaking the surface three days later and they are a beautiful dark green color.

He has from mounted saddle tanks for starter on his planting set up.

He runs a 12 row strip till rig with the planter attached for a one pass system into dead cereal rye .
