West Central Wisconsin | Being diabetic I've had to change my drink preference. I never cared for the taste of diet sodas so drank coffee and iced tea. Lately my wife has been buying packets of water flavorings that you add to a 16 oz. water bottle. Crystal Light is the best but there are some generic flavors I like just as well from Aldi's and other stores. Most of these are 5-10 calories and have a few carbs. They also have larger packets for a half gallon pitcher to keep in the fridge which comes in handy. I had always liked "Squirt" soda and now they offer that in a zero sugar and carb drink that doesn't taste too awful bad. Gatorade offers a "Zero" sugar line of drinks with a gram of carbs. Unfortunately most all contain artificial sweeteners like aspartame and sucralose. Just gotta pick your poison I guess. | |
