Sac & Story county IA | I heard a story about Coon Rapids electric utility. The main part of story was that the utility ran their diesel generator for a week during February when Texas had the storm. The town utility made $1,000,000 in a week. The story said the generator is 11 MW. Can that be right? 11 million watts divided by 750 watts per horsepower is some over 14,000 horsepower. Has anyone ever seen the generator? Or did they have the decimal points wrong? | |
