If you don’t mind me asking what is the benefit of using the hickenbottom over lets say an open trench?
An open ditch needs mowed and can't be farmed. I made my earlier comments before seeing your aerial image. I thought you had a tillable field, so my thoughts were probably overkill for your situation.
Just to be clear, for underground drainage, the hickenbottoms should be connected to perforated pipe, draining into the creek, unless vegetation requires non-perf pipe.
