| We recondition parts for many of the drills that you mentioned. The great plains drills have a problem with the no till coulter castings wearing and this causes the drill to follow off to the left of the tractor and the opener unit don't follow in the track made by the no till coulter. The JD drills all have better depth control, but, they require more maintenance. A major rebuild on the JD drills can cost as much as $415 per foot. These drills are a pain to work on and grease. Your budget of $20000.00 should put you into a excellent Great Plains or 750
and maybe a 1560. The 1590 and 1560 have trouble with the depth setting locking up. For more info., call me at 740- 756 4810 www.greendrills.com
