Soooooo right! The USDA created this friggin disaster. It’s not good for anyone, well, I guess it is good for a bit as I have corn yet.
A little closer to average would have benefitted all. Now the price of everything will get jacked out of proportion and very few have corn around to reap any of this huge, USDA choreographed run up.
I don’t want to hear from anyone that the USDA isn’t putting out crap numbers.
Prevent plant numbers=bull crap lies
Changing how preplant acres are counted during a year of record preplant acres=bull crap lies
Reporting monster yields continually in the midst of record late planting=bull crap lies
This is the new American way though, make crap up and keep repeating it. Heck, it worked for the gestapo, Stalin, Mao, pol pot, Castro, and many other thug nations. Why not here.
