South Central Illinois | Correct,
And the dry spell will probably change with a rain that was not forecast.
I remember pouring concrete in the barn 30 years ago.
Dry time in August,
No rain in the forecast,
Mixer was next to the barn,
Had to mix in the water, going into the fill chute, a couple of times,
No time to watch it rain,
Drought busting rain for sure,
Drought of 1999-2000, ended with 7” of rain in 24 hours, on July 4-5.
2 things in the news, Fall of 1999,
1) Drought was going to last forever,
2) Y2K, computers were all going to crash and to electric grid was going to crash also.
Neither one were actually any problem to be concerned with. | |
