Always go to moisture. I’d probably up the population in case you get a hard rain. We plant 1 3/4”-2” deep on beans all the time. They’ll come up at 3” but that’s getting deep. That or wait on a rain before planting might be a good option also but if there is none in the forecast it’s hard to wait.
