sw ontario | Auto industry is going through an upheavel with panademic and changing to EV .....Chrysler had such a good run with mini fan since '84 many forgot about layoffs and slow times, +many plant workers could work 6-7 days a week and with overtime got big checks...Now, here anyways some struggle,especially if both were auto plant workers to make payments on big homes and toys.
Son #1 was with Waterville TG (toyota group) for maybe 10 yrs.and they did parts for many different assembly plants , he said as a parts supplier it is a brutal business, small margins, assembly plants are bullies. He left and went to petroleum refinery engineering/management last yrs. or so
How things have changed , auto plants are no longer mfg. places but just an end assembly location | |
